  When he finally gave her the release she craved, she cried out with the intensity of the orgasm that consumed her body and sent her spiralling into oblivion, and it took Wade to sooth her back to reality, as he rested on his elbows above her and gently stroked his thumbs down her cheeks, whispering to her until she found her way back to him.

  “Are you trying to kill me?” She finally managed to breathe and saw the wolfish grin spread across his face.

  “Just trying to show you who the alpha is sweetheart.”

  “I know who the damn alpha is you cronut…”She spat out, still trying to steady her heart and her breathing.

  “What’s a cronut?”

  “Perhaps you should remember whose bite is worse than their howl…”He ran his tongue up the vein in her neck and nipped the soft skin of her earlobe, and she moaned her desire for more.

  “Perhaps you should remember a toothless wolf is a…”

  “Shut up, woman.” He growled against her lips, kissing her until she parted them, and then devouring her with the same intensity he had used to bring her an orgasm.

  Wade’s hand slipped under her lower back and he raised her hips off the bed, entering her with one long thrust that had him buried to the hilt within her, as she moaned into him mouth.

  Wade pulled all the way out of her core, but before she could protest he had thrust back in, taking her breath away with the intensity of the feel of him inside her.   Wade rolled her back onto her shoulders and repeated the motion, over and over again until she was climbing towards another release.   “Jasm…”She silenced him by running her tongue up over his neck and biting gently on his chin, and he growled down at her. When she snagged his lower lip between her teeth and nipped until she tasted his blood, she knew there was no going back.

  Wade’s wolf pushed to the forefront within him. His eyes turned pitched black as he stared down at her. His fangs started to elongate, and when he caught her wrists in his hands and trust them above her on the bed, she caught her breath in knowing.

  “Here doggie, doggie…” She teased with a gleam of mischief in her eyes as he pulled back his hips and thrust back inside her.

  The deep growl of his wolf rumbled through his voice making it lower and more gravelly, and Jasmine’s heart pounded within her chest.

  “Only if you can make me yours, wolf boy.” She taunted, and heard the annoyance in the groan that rolled through her mate. Wade was still in there, she knew it, but it was still strange to know that Wade’s personality was now darker, more demanding, more feral, and more dominate than before. “Do you need me to get on top and show you how it’s done?”

  In an instant he had released her hands and pulled out of her, flipping her onto her hands and knees on the bed, she felt his knees pushing hers wider, felt the course hair of his legs against the back of her thighs, and then he thrust inside her to the hilt and her muscles practically convulsed around him.

  Wade’s upper body came down low over her back. The fine hair of his chest rubbed against her spine as he started to thrust into her and she rocked back to meet him. The growl that rumbled through his chest was dominance personified, and he wrapped an arm around her waist to keep her still and in place as he started to increase his speed.

  “Then when the blood is out of my system we’ll just have to do that again.” She breathed out, and felt his arm tighten around her body as he pressed her back against his chest protectively.

  “I don’t want to hurt you like that again.” He growled against her ear and she chuckled as she fought the fatigue that wanted to lull her towards sleep.

  “The pain increases the pleasure, beside’s, why shouldn’t you let your wolf out to play once in a while, it’s only fair as he has no She-wolf to play with. I have nothing against a little domineering on occasion.”Wade eased out of her and turned her in his arms towards him. She felt like a ragdoll as he cradled her against his chest.

  “Mine.” He growled into her hair as he soothed her with gentle hands down her spine.

  “Mine.”She agreed just before sleep claimed her.

  “Still not bonded I see…” Nathan teased as she dragged her aching muscles with her to the chair at the kitchen table opposite him, and eased her sore body down onto the chair.

  “Never judge a book by its cover…” Jasmine sneered at him, as she rested her elbow down onto the table top and propped up her head with her hand as she watched Nathan rush to an understanding.

  “My blood…” He smirked and she narrowed her eyes at him and pointed her index finger. “Not my fault…” He held up his hands in surrender in front of him. He’d experienced the power of the magic that one finger could do, and he wasn’t fond of it.

  “Relax, I’m not going to zap you, you healed me. Thank you.”

  Nathan grinned at her as he raised one dark eyebrow and gave her a smug grin. “Yes, I did, didn’t I?” He pushed up from the table and walked over to the coffee pot, pouring a mug of freshly made coffee and heading back towards the table.

  “But, you also brought me here to meet my dream wolf, so…” She clucked with indecision and saw his eyes widen.

  “No good deed goes unpunished. Here, peace offering.” He pushed the mug towards her as if it was that time of the month and he was offering her chocolate, before slowly backing away.

  “Deal.” Nathan walked around the table and slipped onto the chair opposite her.

  “So when are you going back for the Grimoire’s?” He asked, his subtle way of asking when she was leaving.

  “I… don’t know…” Funny, but the thought of the Grimoire’s hadn’t actually entered into her mind in the last few days, not since Wade had told her that he would get them to her, or get her to them.

  “You’d forgotten…”

  “I didn’t forget…” She snapped, angrier with herself for forgetting about them than with him for reminding her that she had forgotten.

  “That’s a good thing, Jazz. It shows you’re finally living in the present…”Nathan saw the wince of pain that rolled over her face. “It’s not betraying your past or your family, before you…”

  “Nathan, can we drop it?”

  “Without igniting your wrath and at the risk of ending up splattered against the far wall, no.”Nathan assured her and she reached for her mug and twisted the handle so she could hook it with her fingers.

  “Well then you’ll be talking to yourself, because I’m not entering into this conversation with you.”

  “Isn’t a vampire talking to himself the ultimate act of self absorption?”Wade asked as he walked over to the coffee pot and poured himself a mug.

  “Isn’t that masturbation?”Nathan shot back and Sienna walked into the kitchen.

  “Who’s been masturbating?” Sienna asked, eyeing her son and he balked at her.

  “I’m bonded…” He hotly denied it and his mother raised her eyebrows at him.

  “Congratulations. It took you long enough. And that doesn’t mean you’re not a wanker.”Sienna assured him innocently and every jaw in the room dropped as she grinned wildly in amusement. “In fact, I myself have been known to endulg…”

  “Oh, mother.” Wade screwed up his face in disgust and walked away from her as Jasmine slapped her hand on the table in amusement as she chuckled.

  “What? Men can do it but women can’t?” Sienna scoffed and Wade growled his discomfort with the subject as he slipped onto the chair beside Jasmine and placed his mug in front of him, a pained expression on his face as he pushed his mug away.

  “You tell them, Sienna. Good for you.” Jasmine chuckled as she nudged her mate and he growled again, and then raised his brows and his eyes to his mate, suggestively, thinking about her lying open for him to see her touching herself on their bed.

  “See, not always a bad thing…” Sienna motioned towards Wade’s guilty face as she double raised her brows and he winced again.

  “Can we change the subject?” Wade growled and Nathan grinned.

  “Yes, there is an image in my head that I really don’t want in there.” Nathan gave Sienna an apologetic look and she grinned back at him.

  “My big bad Alpha and Vampire sons, afraid of their mother touch…”

  “Mother…” Wade growled and Nathan shook his head.

  “I knew mothers had become progressive, but this is just… perhaps we should have denied your right to vote…” Nathan teased and heard his pack mother’s low growl of warning. “Or maybe that was the best thing we could have done.” He offered and she smiled warmly at him.

  “Change the damn subject before I need to bleach my brain…” Wade growled out and Nathan pointed an accusing finger at Jasmine.

  “We were talking about the Grimoire’s…”

  “Yep, from Grimoire’s to masturbation in one easy step.” Jasmine bit out innocently and heard her mate growl again, this time into his coffee mug. “Masturbation…” Jasmine repeated and Wade growled again. “Masturbation, Masturbation…” She teased giggling each time wade growled and grimaced.

  “At least he’s consistent.”Nathan grinned.

  “Grimoire’s.” Wade growled out, turning his head to look at his mate. “When do we leave?”

  Jasmine looked lost for words for a long moment as she looked down at the blackness of the coffee inside her mug and frowned. Wade shot a look at Nathan, but the vampire was watching her.

  “Perhaps you two should settle into being bonded for a while…” Nathan offered, getting to his feet and walking away from the table towards the counter, deliberating keeping his back to the mates to afford them some semblance of privacy.

  “What’s going on, Jasmine?” Wade asked, reaching for her hand and wrapping it inside his large hand.

  “I hadn’t really thought about the Grimoire’s…” She admitted and Sienna motioned for Nathan to follow her out of the kitchen.

  “It’s alright to be happy, love.” Wade offered and she brought her eyes up to his.

  “I am happy, Wade. But I feel like my happiness is letting my family down, does that make sense?” Jasmine seemed to be asking that question of herself as much as of him.

  “Letting go of the past can be hard. Do you think that they are at peace?” Jasmine nodded. “Then perhaps this is you finding peace.” Wade offered and she couldn’t help the smile that touched her lips.

  “My big bad philosophical alpha male.” She teased and Wade couldn’t help but smile. “I thought with age came wisdom.”

  “I’m sixty four, Jasmine…” He offered and she chuckled, knowing how slow Lycan’s aged, she still thought he looked no more than late twenties.

  “You still have a way to go to beat, Nathan. He’s seven hundred and fifty six.” Jasmine heard the loud
shriek from behind her and whirled around on her chair to see Sky doing a victory dance towards her mate, as Nathan rolled his eyes.

  “Old man…” Sky teased with a huge grin, as Jasmine grimaced.

  “My bad, pops. Sorry.” She chuckled and Nathan groaned.

  “I’m never going to hear the end of this am I?” Nathan grabbed Sky around the waist and hoisted her towards him, and she flung her arms around his neck and started listing all the things that he was older than.

  “Space travel, the internet, TV, Radio, cavemen…”

  “Cavemen?” He groaned fisting her hair and tugging her head back to run his tongue up her neck. “I’ll show you my caveman side.” He growled against her neck and she chuckled.

  “Cars, balloons, bikes...”

  “Can we change the subject back to masturbation?” Nathan begged and Wade growled and shook his head in disgust.

  “Hell no!” He growled.

  “Perhaps you need a new image to burn out the last one…” Jasmine whispered into his ear, and he growled gently as he tightened his grip on her hand. “Perhaps I can help with that.” She offered, and he was up on his feet in an instant.

  “Well, we’re busy for the next… while.” Wade announced, not even waiting for her to stand up as he reached down and lifted her from the chair, wrapping her around him and stalking across the room, towards the stairs.

  “So the Grimoire’s are…?” Nathan called after them, and Jasmine’s head popped up over Wade’s shoulder.

  “Safe where they are for now.”Jasmine assured him as Wade sped up the stairs, disappearing into the bedroom and slamming the door closed after him.

  “So, about that mountain challenge I offered you when we were up the tree?” Nathan enquired of his mate and saw her eyes darken as they twinkled with mischief.

  “Let’s start with a little mountain and work our way up.” Sky offered as she jumped up into her mate’s arms and wrapped her legs around him.

  “Nearest mountain to here?” Nathan teased as he started for the front door.
