  “I mean, ok, you’re not that bad…” She gave him a sympathetic look and he balked at her.

  “Not that bad?” He repeated in disbelief. His fingers wrapped around the handbrake and he squeezed hard into the metal as he dropped it down, his annoyance flowing through him as his manhood took a bashing.

  “I’m sure with time you’ll learn to…” She pushed the last button and he growled out. Hitting the accelerator and the truck jumped backwards. The loud thud from behind them had him stamping on the brake immediately, as Kate was pushed back into her seat and then tossed forwards again.

  “And you’re such a good driver are you?” She shot out in annoyance, as Dex turned in his seat to try and see what he’d hit.

  The loud moan that came from outside the car had Kate and Dex turning to each other in confusion. Before the pair of them looked to their side mirrors.

  Riff dragged himself up off the floor and swivelled his head very slowly towards the car. His black glare fixed on Dex as he took a slow walk around to the driver’s side.

  Kate couldn’t help the snort of a chuckle that escaped her lips before she cleared her throat and turned her head away from Dex. She put her hand up to her cheek and shielded her side profile from his glare. It was a glare she didn’t need to see to know it was there.

  “What in hell are you doing?” Riff growled out as he leaned down and glared at Dex through the open window.

  “Yeah, sorry Riff, I was a little preoccupied with…”

  “Preoccupied? No, no, no. You’re driving an automobile, and when you’re driving an automobile there’s no time to be preoccupied…” Riff explained, slowly and precisely with every word, keeping his anger at bay.

  Kate snorted a chuckle, her shoulders rising and falling as she continued to silently laugh at Dex’s expense.

  “Well I appreciate that…” Dex started and Riff held up his index finger.

  “Did you notice the automobile comes with mirrors that you can use to determine if someone is bloody well behind you, before you reverse?” Riff’s calm and placid tone had started to get more annoyance as he went on and Kate couldn’t help but flick her eyes over to look at him. His fiery wide eyed, mad-as-hell gaze that he had trained on Dex sent the giggles through her and she turned away again.

  “Thanks for pointing that out.” Dex shot back, holding onto his own temper as his mate revelled in his mishap beside him.

  “Not a problem, Alpha.” Riff bit out, holding onto his temper long enough to turn away muttering to himself as he went. Dusting bits of dried earth from his jeans and shirt as he shook his head in disbelief.

  Kate turned to look at Dex. She had tears of laughter in her eyes and she went to open her mouth when he held up his index finger towards her.

  “Not a damn word.” He shot out on a low growl and she snorted once, twice, and then the laughter exploded from her as she those tears of amusement washed over her lashes and onto her cheeks. “It’s not funny.” Dex growled as he flicked his eyes towards her and she spluttered some more.

  “You are such a bad influence.” Dex growled as he wrenched up the handbrake, hit the truck out of gear and turned off the engine.

  When he got out of the car Kate howled with laughter, and when he yanked her door open and reached in to lift her out, she was still chuckling. Dex lifted her up and tossed her over his shoulder in one fail swoop and she shrieked in surprise, slapping at his back, but still chuckling.

  “What are you doing?” She spat out between amused sobs and Dex headed for the house.

  “Rising to the challenge…” He informed her as he threw open the back door to the kitchen and back heeled it closed when he walked them through.

  “What bloody challenge?” She squirmed as he started to run up the stairs three at a time and she bounced around like a sack of old potatoes on his shoulder.

  “You seemed to think I wasn’t that good in the bedroom…” Dex growled out, back heeling the bedroom door and stalking over towards the bed. In one quick movement she was flying through the air with a loud squeal, before she hit the mattress, bouncing twice before he was on all fours, crawling up over her body and looking every inch the predator she knew him to be.

  “I was joking…” She denied hotly. Her cheeks colouring the same deep crimson as her top, as her eyes widened when he reached for her. In one quick movement he had her top over her head and threw it across the room. “Dex…” She giggled as he reached for her skirt, one hand on either side he wrenched it upwards towards her hips and she giggled wildly. “But we were going to get my car…”

  “First, I’m going to satisfy you’re every need …” He reached for her panties and tore the thin lace in half, exposing her to his gaze. Kate almost climaxed just from that action and the hot look of desire on his face. “And then I’m going to satisfy your every want…” He growled down at her, with a flick of his hand his claws appeared and she gasped in a breath as he flicked against the thin strap of material that ran between her breasts and her bra sprung apart, before he flicked his claws away. “And then I’m going to satisfy your every desire.”

  Dex reached up and yanked his top off, exposing his chest to her eyes and she drank him up as greedily as if she were a drunk at a free bar. “And then…” He reached for his jeans, tore them open and yanked them down to his knees. When his erection bobbed out and waved hello at her she couldn’t help but lick her lips, it was better than chocolate, although she wouldn’t be opposed to Dex dipped head to toe in melted chocolate. She licked her lips again at the thought. “I’m going to take care of my needs…” He kicked off his jeans and straddled her legs on all fours. “My wants…” He growled at her as he climbed up over her body. “And my desires.”

  Kate swallowed hard. She liked the sound of that. Telling herself to remember to poke Dex’s bear as often as possible.

  “Are your desires going to be very wicked?” Kate asked and got the most devilishly sexy grin back from him that made her excitement soar and her heart thump a dance beat inside her chest.

  “Very, very, wicked.” He informed her in a slow feral growl that had her squeezing her inner muscles around his imaginary penis already.

  “Well bloody get on with it then!” She spat out on a grin and he did just that.
